About Me

Originally from New England, I have made San Francisco my home for the past thirteen years. I hold a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco where I also teach Child and Adolescent Development. I have had the privilege of working in a variety of clinical settings, including community mental health, schools, and now private practice.

In my work, I primarily support adolescents, couples, adults, parents, young professionals navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, managing ADHD and depressive symptoms, boundary setting, perfectionism, self esteem and more.

FAQ’s:

Q: What can I expect during our first few sessions?

A: The first few sessions is about getting to know each other. I’ll ask some questions about what you’d like to work on, if you have any particular goals, and any important history that feels relevant

Q: How much does therapy cost?

A: My fee for psychotherapy is comparable to the Bay Area for 50- minute individual therapy session *. I accept a few insurances and offer a “superbill” if you have a PPO plan. PPO plans typically reimburse a minimum of 50% of the fee. Please call your insurance provider before we meet to verify what their reimbursement policy is for “out of network” providers and to find out where to send the form.

*You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.  You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.

Q: How does your Telehealth therapy work? And what is your cancelation policy?

A: I use a HIPPA compliant video conferencing called Doxy.me so you can connect from the comfort and privacy of your own space. No in person appointments available at this time. I require a 24 hour cancelation/reschedule for existing appointments. I am happy to discuss more at length during our call
